Today, Avi and I, representing Project32, had a great experience working with Positive Charge PDX, a group known for their goal of embracing the community and amplifying kindness in difficult times. Positive Charge PDX, and a group of their volunteers looked to collect supplies such as hygiene products for farmers and immigrants, displaced due to the Oregon fires. Project32 was able to supply a large bin of much needed dental hygiene products.
With the pandemic restrictions still in place, it has been difficult to connect with the community, however, as witnessed today, the necessity of dental hygiene products is as important as ever. In the last few days, Governor Kate Brown reported that 40,000 residents have been evacuated, and more than 500,000 are under evacuation warnings. When fleeing a home, the small things, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, are easy to leave behind. Avi and I were glad to hear of an opportunity to help and supply a large binful of family-sized dental supplies consisting of four toothbrushes and toothpaste per bag for quick and easy, grab and go transport.
Getting out and helping the community is always a wholesome venture. Spreading dental hygiene awareness and care is a priority that Project32 looks to continue to support.
Till next time,
Mike Hart
